Christmas Decorations 2024

This year I put up 7 Christmas Trees as well as other decorations. They don’t look as good in photo as they do in real life, but I thought I’d share anyway.

There are three trees in the kitchen, garlands and lights over the windows. Bows, a stocking, a couple of Santas, a snowman, snowflakes on the cabinets…

A few of the snowflakes I made, on the kitchen cabinets. I put up more last year, but I’m not as happy with some of the other flakes, so I limited which ones I used. I’ll have to make more next year. Time got away from me this year.
Bows on the other cabinets in the kitchen,
Tree 4. You can’t tell in this image, but the white lights are those cool bubble lights. The ornaments are all crochet ornaments my sister, Laurie, has made for me, Erin and my parents over the years. There’s also a nativity under the tree that one of the cats keeps knocking over.
Trees 5 and 6, along with some of the presents.

The angel on top of tree 7. I paid $1 for her at an Amazon return store last May. Well worth it.

These stockings belonged to my dad’s parents, my paternal grandparents. I found them in a box of their belongings. They both passed a little over 20 years ago.

This is a Native American nativity that I found in another box. I haven’t found a good place for it.
Generic Lego Christmas flowers and vase. Yes, the same ones they’ve been selling at Walmart. I still love my Legos.
This is the Santa under tree 1 as well as the stocking I bought my sister, Debbie. This year, I, my sisters, their husbands and my dad all have stockings that everyone is contributing to, in addition to presents. Little stocking stuffer items. It should be fun.

That’s most of it. I didn’t include every single strand of lights wrapped around a garland over every door. Thanks for looking!

I’ve added a couple of addendums.

This is the kitchen are the sun has gone down. Everyone knows Christmas lights look best after dark.

Tree 3, which is the leftmost tree in this image has fiberoptic lighting. The fibers are intermingled with the foliage and they shift and twinkle in really complex patterns (compared to most Christmas lights). I shot a short video, but even a few seconds of video is bigger than the upload limit.

This is Squeak. He's dad's favorite cat. After dinner, dad asked where he was. I went looking for him, and this is where I found him - on the table, under trees 1 & 2.
