The History of Daylight Savings Time

For those who, like myself, are interested in the minutiae of the history of things, this is a deep dive Glenn Beck did into the origins of Daylight Savings time. It spans all the way back to Ben Franklin, up through Woodrow Wilson, through the need to preserve coal for use with munitions during World Wars 1 & 2, and more.

It’s a basically useless, but interesting, 11:48 seconds.

If you’re someone who does not like Glenn’s politics, he doesn’t really get into then other than expressing disdain for Woodrow Wilson and FDR in passing.
